Alicante City FC promotion:

Our ACFC team, in partnership with our Spanish soccer academy, have been proving their worth and deservedly won promotion to 1st Regional at the end of last season. A number of factors contributed to this success, one of which was the influx of international players who signed for the football club through our ACFC Academy. The 1st team currently has several Academy graduates and we can boast an impressive number of 19 Academy graduates in total who made the grade to get signed across the ACFC 1st team, U23s, and U19s.

This wasn’t the only big news for ACFC and our Football Academy as they also had the incredible opportunity to face the African Champions Al-Ahly. The Egyptian team who were voted the “African club of the century” are reigning champions of the African Champions League and featured some players who had appeared in the 2018 World Cup. This remarkable fixture was set up thanks to our extensive list of contacts in the footballing world and gave our players an unforgettable experience taking to the field against a top-class team full of experienced professionals.

Featured on the BBC:

Few can argue that The BBC is one of the biggest media companies in the world. Therefore, for Soccer Smart and founder Elliot Livesey to appear on this prestigious media empire was a great honour for us and exemplifies the success and growth that we are continuing to have. While discussing the high number of players travelling down under to play football in Australia, “The Beeb” interviewed Soccer Smart founder Elliot Livesey due to our recognised success in sending players to Australia and he was able to help give his professional insight as to why players are making this decision to play in the Australian tiers.

Record number of players sent to Australia:

Sticking to the theme of our success in Australia, we can proudly say that this year has been a personal best for us with more than 70 players being sent to sunny Oz. This is a record number for Soccer Smart and sets a new benchmark for future years. With our growing success, we are always looking to improve and expand as we aim to keep breaking our records and providing the best possible service to our players and continue to give them opportunities to play abroad.

A peek into 2020:

As we say goodbye to 2019, we are already looking forward into 2020 with several big projects on the way. The most exciting of which would be the announcement of our newly formed Summer UK Academy running in July and August. This will provide our UK based players with a fantastic opportunity to live, train, and play like a professional player, receiving top quality coaching with modern facilities, and an even greater chance to be signed to a pro club across the globe.

We have also seen fit to even further improve our ACFC Academy house in Alicante, Southern Spain, with a refurbishment to give our Academy players the best accommodation and facilities available and accentuate our desire to give our players an unforgettable experience. This development in our Spanish Soccer Academy is also accompanied by the appointment of a new ACFC Manager. With a view to be a La Liga team within 15 years, we are demonstrating this goal by acquiring top quality coaches and managers to help us achieve our aims.

Relating to Soccer Smart as a company, we have many exciting new developments such as a new placement country added to our already impressive list, more camps and tours than ever before, a revamp in our Sales, Marketing, and Social Media departments to provide a more streamlined and efficient service for our players, and many other exciting areas of growth.
