Dylan Gwyther
You as a player: As a player I am naturally competitive and constantly want to win whether that be in football or in daily life. I am committed and self-disciplined to work with the team towards the club’s results and trophies. I have 15 years of experience playing football often playing one or two years above my age group. I have won a multitude of individual and team awards including player of the season for my respected clubs in 2012/2013 2016/2017 and 2018/2019. This shows that my performances are high quality and consistent. I also won player of the game in the Timperley and district division one cup final in 2017/18 and went on to win the same award in 2018/19. This shows that I can perform when pressure is on and shows I can step up in the important games. I also won athlete of the year for my primary and High school in 2013 and 2014.
I played a big part in winning various trophies with each team I played for as listed:
· East Manchester Plate winners cup 2011/12 TLS United
· East Manchester League runners up 2011/12 TLS United
· Stockport Metro league 2010/11- 2012/13 Hale United
· Manchester Schools cup in 2014/15 St Pauls
· Timperly Cup 2014/15 Hale United
· Timperly League runners up 2015/16 Egerton
· Timperly cup runners up 2016/17 Egerton
· Timperly League 2017/18 Egerton
· Mid-Cheshire cup Runners up 2017/18 Egerton
· Timperly Cup 2018/19 Egerton
· Greater Manchester League 2016/17 Manchester Boys
When I play, I tend to be calm and composed on the ball even when being pressured by the opposition. I can visualize the pitch, find space, and have an awareness of how much time I have. I enjoy carrying the ball forward which commits defenders to expose the space behind them creating an opportunity to score. I also have a great vision, I can see a pass that most people cannot, and I am able to execute the pass whether it is a short pass on the floor or whether it is a 50-yard pass. In front of goal, I am composed and confident, 9 out of 10 times I will finish the opportunities that come my way.

I have been coaching Dylan for just short of 3 years both privately in one-to-one sessions and with his youth teams (U15 and U16) when he was playing at grass roots level with Egerton Football Club. I continued one-to-one coaching with him when he moved on to Stockport County development at the age of 16. This has given me the opportunity to identify his strengths and focus attention on areas where we felt he could improve his game. Dylan moved on to Stockport County development with the aspirations to pursue a football career at a level above grass roots. The programme allowed him to do this but also remain focus on his academical studies.
Dylan is a forward player and can operate out wide and in the midfield. He has a lot of quality attributes in terms of technical ability. He can demonstrate good use of both feet in shooting, dribbling, passing and executing ball mastery skills.
During his time at Egerton Football Club Dylan was a key player in his youth teams contributing massively to their successes with plenty of goals and assists. In our one-to-one sessions we would focus on areas we felt could improve and facilitate his football development. We put emphasis on drills which demand Dylan to be more vocal and demand the ball more. In addition to this we would focus on his movement off the ball allowing him to get into areas of space to receive the ball and use his strengths to isolate opposition players in a one vs one situation.
Since joining the programme at Stockport County FC he has had the opportunity to work on the physical aspects of his game where he has become stronger on the ball and less prone to injuries and knocks, as he is one of those players who tends to be on the receiving end of hard tackles. This is nothing but the opposition trying to eliminate his danger and the positive effects he has on his team.
It is always a pleasure working with Dylan on a one-to-one basis as he is a very nice, polite young man. Dylan is very responsive and always engaged with the sessions even when practicing on the areas he did not particularly enjoy, particularly drills which put a demand on his fitness however he would always demonstrate an understanding as to why we were doing the training.
In team sessions he was the same and would raise the standard of training, inspiring his team mates to replicate some things he would do.
Dylan will be a great prospect for any team and no doubt even more under the right coach who can identify his strengths and work on areas he may still need to improve.
